Coffee and God

Apparently coffee is from God.

Wanda, my annoyingly intellegent int... ? assistant was telling me about how some shephard boy in Ethiopia some years ago (1984 I think) was out tending his goats (yes - goats have shepards too!) and the goats were nibbling on these weird bushes with red berries. As it turns out these were coffee bushes.

Anyway, as the story goes, the goats loved the berries so much that they started dancing around in circles, on their hind legs, due to the goodness of the coffee.

So you've got goats, dancing around in a circle, maybe singing or chanting (okay maybe not that bit) and they're on their hind legs, red eyed and high on coffee beans... and so obviously this shephard take this as a sign from God! - well, of course, goats dancing around on their hind legs usually symbolizes that something good is about to happen. - I think there might have been fire and flames somewhere there too.

Well, anyway, so Wanda tells me, THIS IS STUPOISD.... (HA HA A )

Ahhh, how do I delete this stuff??!!! - Hank get off my blog man!

Ok, so I ...where was I - oh yeah, so Wanda tells me, the shepard runs a smaple pack of the beans (from the Strabucks bushes), over to the local monestry - you know, where monks live.

They made a stew out of them and had it for supper.

They really liked it because what they found (as many of us have found also) is that the stew of coffee beans kept them awake all night and alert - so it was perfect for their early morning prayer rituals!

So of course they declared that coffee must be a gift from Gid! --God!!!

So there you go, that was my point. Or my story anyway. Or Wanda's story that I retold.

I need a coffee.
