Coffee and God
Apparently coffee is from God.
Wanda, my annoyingly intellegent int... ? assistant was telling me about how some shephard boy in Ethiopia some years ago (1984 I think) was out tending his goats (yes - goats have shepards too!) and the goats were nibbling on these weird bushes with red berries. As it turns out these were coffee bushes.
Anyway, as the story goes, the goats loved the berries so much that they started dancing around in circles, on their hind legs, due to the goodness of the coffee.
So you've got goats, dancing around in a circle, maybe singing or chanting (okay maybe not that bit) and they're on their hind legs, red eyed and high on coffee beans... and so obviously this shephard take this as a sign from God! - well, of course, goats dancing around on their hind legs usually symbolizes that something good is about to happen. - I think there might have been fire and flames somewhere there too.
Well, anyway, so Wanda tells me, THIS IS STUPOISD.... (HA HA A )
Ahhh, how do I delete this stuff??!!! - Hank get off my blog man!
Ok, so I ...where was I - oh yeah, so Wanda tells me, the shepard runs a smaple pack of the beans (from the Strabucks bushes), over to the local monestry - you know, where monks live.
They made a stew out of them and had it for supper.
They really liked it because what they found (as many of us have found also) is that the stew of coffee beans kept them awake all night and alert - so it was perfect for their early morning prayer rituals!
So of course they declared that coffee must be a gift from Gid! --God!!!
So there you go, that was my point. Or my story anyway. Or Wanda's story that I retold.
I need a coffee.

What's better? Starwars or Startrek?
I wonder what's better. StarWars? Or StarTrek? I dunno, its a tough one.
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!
Hey Hank! Get off my blog!!
Sorry about Hank - I mean, not just for him writing on my blog - which is rude, but sorry, just in general.
Anyway I think they are both good. They both have 'star' in them, for a start. Actually 'start' also has 'star' in it. So maybe 'Start" is better than both StarWars and StarTrek. Well, its somewhere to start in any case.
So both have futuristic lazer thingys, and both have various types of aliens. Both travel to other planets. And both have several spin off series from the original.
You could argue for ages I suppose. Is Spock better than Kirk? Is Indiana Jones better than Han Solo? Should Luke marry his sister Laya? - oh wait...not that's not right - I mean really not right. But you know what I mean I think.
So what's the point of arguing about which fictional character is better than the other one. They're both not real.
Not like me and my mate Hank, eh Hank? Hank? Hank?
Well, tuning off now - or whatever it is we do when we stop. Maybe stopping. Yeah thats it. Ok - so stopping now, Brent Leroy (who lives in the REAL world!) signing off.
well stopping anyhow.

Long Time Doin Nuthin
Hi All,
Brent Leroy here again from Corner Gas - at least that's what I do call my own business. It is my own. I bought it off my dad ages ago, - well, when I say 'bought' I didn't really pay anything for it - of course, I do pay for it - every single day of my life now. Dad is always around here trying to help - or not help as it actually would really be. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like without dad, and mum, and the business..... I wonder... I wonder.....

...whoa...what was that?!
Anyway just thought I'd log back into the interweb and see if anyone was still listening - or whatever it is that internet people do all day. - hmmm, now I really sound like my dad.
Just for an update, since my last post I've been...well, I've been here. Ummm....
Well tune in for next time I guess. Don't really have much more to say. Happy holidays? Thats what us Canadians say ay?
BRENT CAN"T SPELL!!!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..............
What? Sorry my 'friend' Hank wrote that bit.

9 Car Pile Up in Dog River!

There was a 9 car pile up in Dog River this week.
At least, that's what was on the front page of our local paper 'The Howler'. I couldn't believe it when I read it. - That is I couldn't believe that there were 9 cars in Dog River. I've only ever counted 7 - so you can understand my bafflement. I thought that maybe 2 more cars were visiting Dog River, and they crashed into the other 7 already here. Then I realised that I was reading the news while sitting in my car, and my car wasn't in the pile up. Then Hank suggested that maybe it wasn't 2 cars visiting at all, by actually 3 cars. - Needless to say the conversation went on like this for some time. I said to Hank, "Hank. I have work to do, and I'm going back into Corner Gas." Then Hank said, "Ok." and I went back into Corner Gas. There wasn't actually any work to do, so I thought I'd update my Blog - that's what I'm doing right now.
Anyway, turns out there was no 9 car or any number car pile up in Dog River. The guy who ows the paper was watching Canadas Worst Police Videos, and thought that what was on his TV was actually happening. ...I think I feel an intervention coming.
I thought Canadas Worst Police videos was when Davis made up all sit down and watch his vacation video from Hawaii. There's only so much hoola music I can take.
Hey, some kid left a cool blue toy in my shop! Its cool it shoots out thse little blue discs. Now that's really something newsworthy!
So long.
Brent.

Who is better - Sponge Bob or Patrick?

I don't usually spend any time writing anything at all - ever about children's cartoons - because that would be imature. Normally I read adult - and by 'adult' I don't mean 'naked'. I mean graphic novels - or as some weird people call them - comic books. They are NOT comic books, they are highly interwoven, thought provoking storylines, but they are drawn instead of written. I mean, there are words, but they are words with pictures. - no, they're not childrens books - they are graphic novels.- Much much much different to comic books. Very mature readers only appreciate the intensity of these books...books full of comics..., well, maybe they are comic books - but they're great! - I mean, who wants to read some book with no pictures? Sure they read them at college - but who needs that? - I never went to college and just look at me - I work in a gas station!
Anyway I was watching some late night tv and sponge bob square pants was on. I feel that the show should really be called Patrick Star - Star Pants - or something. Or maybe Patrick the great Star - patrick the rock star!!!!? - maybe not. See I think that Patrick (the sea star - not star fish as some ingrates call them), is the true star (ha ha - get it...?)of the show. The character of sponge bob is yellow, spongy and idiotic! - It would be like if there was ever some starnge tv show about my life at Corner Gas in Dog River. It would be like as if my idiot friend Hank was the star and I was the side kick! - Yeah, as if that would happen. What would they call it? -The Hank Show - or Hankeriffic - or The Idiot Hour with Hank My Idiot Friend? - Who knows, but Patrick should still be the star (ha ha - I did it again) of the show. They should call it Star Patrick Star Pants - or something. - Hmmm, am I repeating myself? Well, anyway Patrick is pink and he has one big tooth which makes him look fierce.
Okay, it was probably a waste of time writing all this, but what else am I supposed to do in Dog River?
Have fun Patrick Bob fans!
